A very special soprano with an expressive voice and vivid passion, who displayed her wide range splendidly in the second act.  Lamberti’s presentation had that certain je ne sais quoi.  Her voice spectrum is extremely wide and allows her to convey such delicate nuances that only the greatest masters can portray.  Opera as a phenomenon is considered to be elite art and that night was the pinnacle of the elite.

Lamberti's singing went so directly from her soul through the music to the audience that - even without subtitles - there could be no doubt what Margherita was feeling.  Lamberti simply was the character and she deserved every bit of the showstopping ovation the near-capacity audience gave her.  If the gods are kind, SF opera lovers will be allowed to watch this young soprano grow into the formidable artist she could become, and which the world of opera needs so desperately.

Vitellia's vocal part must be one of the more stellar female parts.. Christina Lamberti was up to the role in every way, with her colorful voice that ranges up to dramatically lyrical tones being absolutely enchanting.
